Face to Face Language Classes
Being based in Shardlow, Derbyshire we can come to you and bring out tailored sessions into the comfort of your home face to face. Our tutors operate in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire
Learning is often better when we aren't sat down. Join us for a beautiful walk starting and ending in Shardlow, Derbyshire. We will immerse ourselves in language & nature as we explore conversational language whilst gently strolling through the idyllic countryside.

Our tutor is highly skilled in adapting lessons to suit the specific needs of each individual which helps ensure that all of our students feel relaxed, happy and fulfilled in their language lessons. We primarily offer private classes and can accommodate small groups when needed.

We pride ourselves on our extremely experienced and knowledgeable tutor who has a passion to help others learn a second language. Our tutor has lived in the countries whose language that they teach which helps our students to learn authentic, useful language rather than the formulaic language you find in a school textbook.

We strongly believe that language learning should be enjoyable, interesting and stress-free. We believe that our approach is so different to the school approach. We teach useful language, the background to how a language works and offer plenty of opportunity to practice so the experience of language learning at Excelerant Language School is totally different to the typical school setting.

We offer a wide range of class types at The Language School; Beginners, Improvers, Advanced, Conversation, Kids, GCSE and A Level. We pride ourselves on accommodating every language learner’s individual needs and adapting lessons to suit every learner.
Pricing
We offer private lessons for students who prefer all of the benefits of 1-2-1 tuition such as specifically tailored lessons, a quiet learning environment and bespoke feedback and mentoring. Our private lessons are £25 per hour and we offer discounts for block bookings. Here are the prices:
10 Lessons
10% Discount = £225
(£22.50 per lesson)
20 Lessons
15% Discount = £425

Jenna Rossall
Lead Tutor
With a passion for linguistics and baking, Jenna brings a unique blend of skills and perspectives to the Excelerant Language School. She loves all elements of language and whilst she currently only teaches French & English she is also conversant in Japanese, Spanish, Italian & Cantonese.
With a Bachelor's degree in French studies and a Teaching Foreign Languages certification and over 8 years experience living and working if non-English speaking countries she understands what it takes to learn a new language.
Having lived in three non-English speaking countries for over 8 years of her life she gets it. She can quickly build rapport with people and put them at ease. Finding ways to connect that might be missed by others. Jenna has experience teaching English as a second Language & French in schools and to adults in Quebec, Hong Kong and more recently back in the UK where she grew up before departing for an extended round the world tour between 2011 - 2020.
On top of her language skills Jen is also a skilled office administrator and is a trained counsellor with a level 3 certification in counselling and working towards her level 4 diploma so that she can practice independently in the U.K.
